Two partners Chris Ilardi and Gabe Ferraro are bringing their combined 50 years experience to Southwest Florida and delivering a unique concept for all ages. A concept reminiscent of a simple backyard cookout with a modern unique menu offering.
Gabe was raised in the south Jersey/Philadelphia area where he learned to cook as a child from his Italian family. “A lil sumptin” meant a seven-course meal.
He began his career with a few chain restaurants like Tony Roma’s, Carrabba’s and Outback. In the late 90’s he began career that would change his life forever. Starting as a chef, GM and partner he opened and operated over 260 locations across the country and Canada for a hospitality company that specializes in fine dining, quick service among others where he spent 18 years of his career.
In 2008 he moved to New York to begin one of largest multi-concept openings at in JFK airport. This is where he met his business-partner in crime Chris Ilardi. For the next 10 years it would grow into a brotherhood with a ton laughs, blood, sweat and tears. They share the same vision and ideas and passion when it comes to delivering outstanding service and building great restaurants. Little known fact, Gabe was Rocky's butt double in Rocky I and Rocky II.
Chris was raised in Bayside Queens and comes from a large Italian family where food was always the center attraction. After culinary school and a career start in several high-end French restaurants, he realized his course in hospitality was geared towards management and has a face made for radio.
This lead to a vast array of manager positions with Joe and Lida Bastianich. Ilardi took his fine dining experience and expanded it with Stadiums and Arenas. Cultivating his knowledge and experience at such great facilities as Shea Stadium and Nassau coliseum.
Ilardi was lured back to open the acclaimed BABBO restaurant as general manager this is where fine dining and rock and roll became an institution.
Ilardi was later recruited by a travel hospitality company to deliver five-star service in an Airport environment.
This is where he met his business-partner Gabe Ferraro. They share the passion for great food and service and rap music while always leading with fun.
